Today’s post comes from Charmain Zimmerman Brackett.
I love my hometown in the spring.
It’s full of the beauty of nature. Sweet scented purple wisteria, vibrant fuchsia and white azaleas and graceful dogwoods abound in Augusta, Georgia, during late March and early April. And when it’s at its finest, the Garden City embraces thousands of golf visitors.
For my next series of mysteries, I’m using my hometown as the backdrop, and my newest amateur sleuth is a florist named Grace who stumbles upon a murder by accident. But the more she learns about the case of the Jane Doe found a few yards from a wedding she’s supplying the flowers for, the more danger Grace finds herself in.
Surrounded by possible suspects and with a time clock running, Grace breaks through her natural shy demeanor to help her homicide investigator husband find out what’s really going on around town in Murder Under the Magnolias.
Murder Under the Magnolias, one of Grace’s Augusta Mysteries, will be released on Amazon on 4/4/16.
